Prior to IBM and the founding of Daksh, Pavan co-founded Quadrant Infotech, an offshore data capturing business focused on the US market. Prior to founding Quadrant, Pavan was taught Physics at his Alma Mater, The Doon School, Dehradun.
Passionate about building organizations that leave a legacy, Pavan has worked hard to create an inclusive, global culture within organizations. He was a member of the IBM Integration & Values Team, a senior leadership team instituted by IBM's Chairman of Board and CEO Sam Palmisano. Pavan is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and a charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE). As an active angel investor, Pavan works closely with the CEOs of multiple startups to mentor and guide them.
Pavan is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute Technology (IIT), Kharagpur and holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. He is also a Graduate of the Advanced Management Program of the Harvard Business School.
An ardent traveler and dog lover, Pavan is married to Ila, who is a homemaker. Pavan and Ila have two children and they live in Gurgaon, India.
During his tenure as the head of HR, he helped launch various employee engagement & recruitment initiatives and enhanced the total rewards programs that enabled CA, India to clinch top honors for its HR department.
He has over 18 years of experience in Information Technology, handling software development and delivery from global locations, working on domains like retail banking, credit cards, inventory management, and portfolio/stock management and after sales service. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and a certified faculty for Leadership and Professional Skills courses in Change Management and Six Sigma.
Sakaar is also the proud recipient of the "HR Leadership Award" presented by the Employer Branding Institute for Excellence in Talent Management, HR Strategy, Application of IT, Innovation in Recruitment, Innovation in Retention strategy, Innovation in Career Development and Global HR Strategy.
